Chaquez McCall is a lifelong resident of Florence, SC. He is a proud graduate from Wilson High School and Francis Marion University where he studied political science. He was also awarded the Jesse A. Cole Political Science Scholarship and the Neal D. Thigpen South Carolina Politics and Governance Award. He was also inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.
After graduating from Francis Marion University in Indiana, McCall moved to Durham, NC, where he attended North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in Law School, served as a staff editor for the prestigious NCCU Law Review and worked extensively in the Civil Litigation Clinic, where he worked on small and complex litigation.
After graduating from Law School, Mr. McCall went back to Florence, SC, where he worked as a judicial clerk under the guidance of Circuit Court Judge D. Craig Brown. He learned the inner workings and the court system during this time.
He was able to interact directly with local lawyers, solicitors, and judges throughout the process. After completing his clerkship, McCall opened McCall Law, which specializes in Personal Injury and Criminal Law.
Florence is a city in and the county seat of Florence County, South Carolina, United States. It lies at the intersection of Interstates 20 and 95 and is the eastern terminus of the former. It is the primary city within the Florence metropolitan area. The area forms the core of the historical "Pee Dee" region of South Carolina, which includes the eight counties of northeastern South Carolina, along with sections of southeastern North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population of Florence was 39,899.
